ILOS is a photovoltaic (PV) developer, trusted by landowners and communities, which builds projects in line with industry best-practice to support the UK’s transition towards low carbon electricity generation. We believe a sustainable and renewable energy mix is needed to reach Net Zero emissions, with solar power playing a key role in enabling the UK to secure energy independence – alongside supporting farmers to secure the future of their farms and improving our local ecology.
We are developing a proposal for a circa 9.9 MWAC solar farm on land south of Stoke Orchard, on the southwest side of Mill Lane, which comprises approximately 19.2 hectares.
We are looking for your input to help shape our plans before our submission to Tewkesbury Borough Council. The consultation will open on 12 November 2025.
The site was identified for its proximity to a ‘Point of Connection’ to the electricity grid, where National Grid has confirmed capacity to input renewable energy. The site is clear of existing infrastructure and we believe meets planning policy requirements.
ILOS works proactively with the landowner and local stakeholders to design a scheme that achieves its function to generate renewable energy, enhances the site’s ecology, and ensures the site is screened where possible. ILOS strives to deliver significant biodiversity net gain by bolstering existing planting, additional planting, wildflower seeding, and working with the County Ecologist to design a suitable plan.
The final proposals will be informed by the feedback received through the consultation and influenced by the landowners’ aspiration to deliver a sustainable development.
The energy generated by this proposed site will reduce CO2 pollution by c. 3,500 tonnes per year.
